A NUMBER OF MEN'S ORGANISATIONS IN THE ANTI-RAPE FIELD HAVE BEEN FORMED BECAUSE THEY CAN PROVIDE VERY PROFITABLE JOBS FOR MEN

NOT ALL ORGANISATIONS FOUND IN THE ANTI-RAPE,ANTI-ABUSE FIELD BY MEN, OR WOMEN, HAVE THE INTERESTS OF COMMUNITIES AT HEART, SOME HAVE THE INTERESTS OF THEIR PERSONAL BANK BALANCE AT HEART, SO DO NOT ASSUME THAT ALL ARE GOOD JUST BECAUSE THEY ARE IN THE FIELD. IT IS A VERY PROFITABLE FIELD FOR THOSE WHO WISH TO MAKE MONEY AS SOME HAVE FOUND EVEN IN THIS COUNTRY.

The Men's Rape Prevention Project focuses its efforts on high school and college-age individuals and the institutions that serve them.

We give presentations on:
Rape and Male Responsibility
The Power of Words
Rape and Racism
Rape and Homophobia

We conduct workshops and training:
Recognize rape-supporting behaviors and learn
non-violent strategies for confronting them
Develop skills for engaging men in discussions about rape

We provide consultation:
to institutions developing rape prevention policies and programs for men to activists and educators wanting to speak to male audiences about sexism and sexual violence

Through all these endeavors, we seek to bring widespread attention to the role men must play in preventing rape. We believe that generating national exposure for this issue is crucial and have already succeeded in doing so through CNN, "Oprah," and public radio.
