Special UN Rapporteur on sexual violence, 12 August 2004

On 12 August, The Sub-Commission on the Promotion and Protection of Human Rights adopted without a vote and with unanimous consent a resolution (E/CN.4/Sub.2/2004/L.42) entitled the difficulty of establishing guilt and/or responsibility with regard to crimes of sexual violence in which it asks the Commission on Human Rights to approve its decision to appoint Lalaina Rakotoarisoa as Special Rapporteur entrusted with preparing a detailed study on the difficulties of establishing guilt and/or responsibilities with regard to crimes of sexual violence.
