HOUSE APPROVES CHILD SUPPORT DISTRIBUTION ACT

H.R. 4678 allows states to pass through more child support payments directly to families. Families that left welfare would have first claim to the child support they are due, ahead of government claims for welfare reimbursement. When fully implemented, the bill would mean over $1 billion in additional child support to low-income families per year.
