From: HF To: speakout@global.co.za Sent: Friday, July 06, 2007 11:50 AM Subject: Need help

Hi I recently discovered that my wife has been sexually abused as a child and she is having difficulty now as a adult women of 40 to deal with it. We stay in South Africa and want to know it you can provide us with telephone numbers of someone she can speak to to help her deal with it. Your assistance in this matter will be appreciated.
Thank you SpeakOut!

The best contact for the first chat is with the Stop Women Abuse Helpline at Lifeline - the number will be in your telephone directory. They will have numbers for the best places in your area. Otherwise also try Childline - her age does not matter.
Please also read the info on our site about incest and child abuse, it would be very good if you went to counselling too to learn how to assist her
