I will cut my story short, last year I tried to apply for an interdict which was thrown out of court as I had a nervous breakdown. I wanted the law to protect me, help me with protecting my child, I was hospitalised after this event, after this my ex has hit my son terribly and last night he was at my home threatening me, can someone please assist, who do I talk to, I fear my life and my sons well being, my son hates me as I am keeping him from his father.

I cannot see why an interdict would have been thrown out of court because of a nervous breakdown. Unless you were not present to testify and even then it seems strange.
You can apply at any magistrates court for a protection order it costs R50 preventing him from coming near to you and your child.
Why does your child want to see an abusive father?
I think your son is angry with you most of all for not getting your act together and being strong. You need to stop being a victim. Get that protection order urgently - if he breaks it he gets arrested immediately, no questions.
But too I suggest that you and your son are in desperate need of counselling, if you can tell us which town you are in, we can help direct you. Alternatively use the search engine on the site.
