Oprah asks "National Post-trauma helpline/resource?
Morning,
I’m writing from O, The Oprah Magazine in SA. We’re featuring a letter
from a rape survivor in our December Dr Phil advice column.
Is there a national helpline, website or resource a rape survivor could
reach to find out about receiving post-rape counselling?
I know of the rape crisis website, but is this only CT based? The
response to the letter urges the reader to go for counselling, as she’s
clearly stilll suffering from PTSD.

SpeakOut!
Hi Deidre,
She can write to us at SpeakOut and I will respond to her giving her
advice about the best facility in her area - there are many
organisations serving rape survivors but not all of them are good.
Or she can call Life Line's Stop Women Abuse Line it does not have a
national number so she needs to look up the number of the Life line in
her area, if it is a child the best organisation is Childline.
