Abuse of retarded children, Brakpan

Hi my name Yolande. It was brought to our attention that the kids at my stepson school are being abused. He is in a school called F .. in brakpan. This school is for down syndrome and mentally challenge kids. At this moment some of the kids are doing a school concert. But the other kids that does not take part can stay at home or go to school. But if they do go to school, they are all put together outside into a camp. And are locked up. I do not even know if it is in the shade or if they have water. They are left there the whole day till the school comes out. If the kids do not go into the camp , they are made to work in the garden. This is unfair. These special kids are suppose to be treated better because of their disabilities. They are people , not animals to be caged in. This information was given to me by the lady that pick up the kids from there home and takes them back. But this is not the first time that we have heard roomers.My stepson son comes every day and complains. Do you think their will be something that we can do to help these kids.

Yes, you need to lay a charge with the police and with the Welfare Department in Brakpan.
Just what you know, you don't need proof, it is the job of the police and social workers to obtain that - and well done on acting on your caring!
