In terms of total crimes against children in Johannesburg from 1 April last year to 31 March this year (period for all these stats) 55% were rape, assault with intent to commit grievious bodily harm 7%, abandonment 11%, child exploitation 1%, child stealing 5%, child abuse 9%, indecent assault 18%

Risk levels to sexual violence: teenagers 53%, primary school children 18%, toddlers 16% and infants 13%
