An excellent Survivors Support Sanctuary is being developed by a group of rape survivors led by Jean Saul in Eikenhof, Johannesburg.

The sanctuary, which will include camping facilities and alternative therapies, already holds a lunch for rape survivors every third Saturday of the month. There are usually one or two therapists available and you can, for example, have reflexology while sitting next to a rock pool or a bubbling brook. The lunches are warm, relaxed, fun and incredibly therapeutic.
There is a nominal cost of R15 which goes into a Trust for further developments to the sanctuary which will in time include weekend and overnight facilities.
